The Storage Manager feature includes the ability to manage apps, and provides a top down list of apps that you haven’t used often. You can quickly find apps you may not even have realized are installed and quickly remove them. You can find the same ability under Program Files in the Control Panel window, but the PC Manager displays just the least used app’s alone with a faster way to remove them.
Clean Up scan is a built-in feature to the PC Management app which scans to find large files on your drives. The process management feature is a more simplified version of the Task Manager so you can quickly find and end processes that might be using too many of your computer’s resources.
The “Boost” button will quickly clear temporary files and free up memory, which is useful on older PC’s that may have a lot of files which haven’t been cleaned in a while.
There are many other third-party apps that the PC Management tool is being compared to, namely the popular cleanup utility tool CCleaner. However with recent malware attacks which have led to apps like these spreading malware, it nice to see Microsoft working on a way to make cleaning and optimizing your PC faster.
The current PC Manager app is in beta, but it will be a welcome addition to Windows when it is released to the wider public.
